This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our resume building service. We are based in Canada and operate in accordance with Canadian privacy laws, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

When you create an account or use our services, we may collect:

  • Account credentials
  • Payment information (processed securely through Stripe)
  • Resume content you create (work history, education, skills, etc.)
  • Job descriptions you analyze

Automatically Collected Information

  • Usage data and feature interactions
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and maintain our resume building services
  • Process AI-powered enhancements and job analysis
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions
  • Send important service updates and notifications
  • Improve our services and develop new features
  • Respond to customer support requests
  • Prevent fraud and ensure security

4. AI Processing

Our AI features process your resume content and job descriptions to provide enhancements, match scores, and recommendations. We use OpenRouter as our AI API gateway, which routes requests to one or more underlying language model providers to power these features. Our primary model provider is Anthropic (Claude models). For reliability and availability, OpenRouter may also route requests to fallback providers, including Google (Gemini models) and OpenAI (GPT models). As a result, relevant portions of your resume content may be processed by any of these providers.

When you use AI features, relevant portions of your content are sent to these services for processing. We do not use your personal resume content to train AI models, and our AI providers have committed not to use API data for training purposes.

Your data remains yours. You can delete your data at any time, and it will be removed from our systems within 30 days.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

  • Service Providers: Stripe (payments), Supabase (database), OpenRouter (AI API gateway), Anthropic, Google, and OpenAI (AI model providers, accessed via OpenRouter), Resend (transactional email such as welcome, drip, and engagement messages), Brevo (marketing email list)
  • Advertising & Measurement: Meta (Facebook) for conversion measurement and advertising, where we share a hashed email address and limited event data, subject to your cookie consent (see Section 9)
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights
  • Business Transfers: In connection with mergers or acquisitions

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (SSL/TLS), secure data storage, and regular security audits. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial legislation, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data upon request
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Delete your account and associated data
  • Export your resume data in a portable format

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We may also use analytics cookies to understand how users interact with our service. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings.

With your consent, we also use advertising and analytics cookies and similar technologies set by Meta (Facebook). Specifically, we use the Meta Pixel (a client-side tracking script) and the Meta Conversions API (server-side event sharing) for advertising and conversion measurement. This involves sharing a hashed (de-identified) email address and limited event data — such as page views, checkout actions, and purchase values — with Meta.

This Meta tracking is only enabled after you provide consent through our cookie banner. If you do not consent, these advertising and analytics technologies are not activated. You may withdraw your consent at any time through the cookie banner or your browser settings, after which we will stop this tracking going forward.

10. Children's Privacy

Our service is not intended for children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
